I hope this finds you well (2025)
3-channel video, 5.1 surround sound, 15min
A woman roaming around in the mountains alongside the coast, filling metal chests with debris; a man looking for data on his smartphone, only to process it through a photo scanner; an infinite number of what-looks-like postcards continuing to appear in another woman’s living room.
This is a story of unsettled quests: heroes with no journey, who are trying to find the right gear. They wander around, searching, losing the plot, finding something else, drifting in and out of auto-mode. In this strange world, not only objects have the magical quality to become catalysts for sound and memory transfer, but so do the protagonists, who become conductors for movement and experience.
An exploration on how we anticipate and expect, how we process and compartmentalise, what we choose to take with us or leave behind.
